Pros: Small size, great picture quality, Image stabilization, easy to use
Cons: video could be sharper but I don't know if this is possible
The Bottom Line: I cannot imagine a higher quality camera of this size. It would be hard to take a bad photo with this camera after basic familiarization.

I bought my SD700 IS for use at my daughters wedding. I wanted good quality pictures, flexibility, image stabilization and small size. I used the camera for about a week before the big event and even with limited time on with the camera my pictures turned out spectacular. The camera slips in a pocket and is unnoticed while carrying, it comes alive very fast so I was able to catch a lot of spontaneous shots and the image stabilization is amazing. Out of 400 shots I had 4 that were slightly blurred and these were taken at night. Even the video works very well for this sized camera, which was also taken at night at the reception and the sound picked up very well. I also like the instant television playback direct from the camera. On a 52 inch HD TV the photos were super crisp. I thought the scene mode was also helpful. It took only seconds to choose the mode and the settings were evidently spot on as I thought the quality was great. I found the battery life to be a non issue as I could use the camera for an entire day with no problem. I would recommend this camera highly.
