roynyr's Full Review: Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom Platinum 35mm Film Camera
I had bought the Canon Sure Shot 85 about two months ago and I have to say that I am very impressed with the quality of the pictures from this camera. This camera cost me about $125 and I have to say it was definitely worth the price of the investment.
Features
Some of the best things about this model are the clarity and brightness of the colors. All of the colors are very distinct and they jump off the pictures. There is crispness to the pictures which shows itself in how the colors do not flow into each other on the picture. Each object on the picture is easily distinguishable. I know that many times I have seen pictures where the figures are fuzzy but the Canon Sure Shot does not produce those types of pictures.
Another good thing with this camera is the reduction of red eye. On the camera that I had before this one, many pictures had the red eye effect. But with the Canon Sure Shot 85 the red eye effect has been virtually eliminated. Some pictures still have a minimal amount on them of it but it is not really that bad. Another thing I like about the camera is the ease in taking the picture. The mechanism used to take the picture is simple to use and would not be that complicated for the less mechanically or electronically inclined. Another of the great features in this camera is the auto focus. You do not have to worry about taking a picture from the wrong distance because this camera will take care of that for you. It is never going to be a problem to be out of focus with this model.
Overall, I would recommend this camera for good value at an affordable price.
