krisps70's Full Review: Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom Platinum 35mm Film Camera
I purchased this product because I was looking for an affordable, easy-to-operate "spare" camera that would still take photos I'd be proud to display in my baby son's scrapbook. The Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom Date is all that and then some!
For a mere $130 online (try Amazon.com), you can get this sturdy 35mm "point-and-shoot" with automatic flash, automatic focus, red-eye reduction, date stamp, self-timer, and 38 to 85mm zoom. The camera's features are all designed to be user-friendly. The oversized buttons for the zoom function are placed very conveniently on the face of the camera, which is great for when you're trying to catch a moving subject before the moment is gone. The viewfinder is large enough to offer a clean view of your subject, and a built-in lens cap automatically opens and closes when you power the camera on and off. The resulting photographs are sharp and in beautiful color!
The only cons of this camera are that it doesn't come with its own carrying case, and it is not as compact as it probably could be. However, it's a great deal for the money. Do yourself a favor and invest in the Canon Sure Shot 85 Zoom Date. It's a great alternative to buying countless disposable cameras that take poor quality photos. You won't be sorry!
