Chris_Tal's Full Review: Canon Sure Shot A1 Panorama Date 35mm Film Camera
An underwater camera is something I had always wanted, I spend lots of time sailing and rowing and like to take pictures. Canon make good cameras and this camera seemed the best underwater choice in my price range (Nikonos one day maybe). I bought is for $140 at an airport duty free.
This camera is so easy to use. A large view finder is perfect for wearing a mask and taking a picture. You wont believe how cute your girlfriend looks swimming along underwater :). Macro is included and works well. All the controls are large and easy to use which is good because it is designed to be able to use underwater and you could be wearing gloves. Film loading is easy and you should check the seals well for any debri that might compromise the integrity of the waterproofing.
This camera is worth buying for just messing about in a swimming pool, and is great for taking a picture of that octopus you see on holiday (hopefully no jelly fish).
I can't mention anything I dislike about the camera and I have had it for a year now. I suppose you could complain that it isnt zoom or something, but be reasonable.
