Pros: Their automatic payment system worked flawlessly in making sure they got their money on time.
Cons: Deplorable service. No interest in sending the lien release paperwork once a loan is paid.
The Bottom Line: Don't expect much help from the staff at Capital One. Your local credit union or car dealership can do much better for you and you'll find much better service.

| aa2mgr's Full Review: Capital One Auto Finance |
I originally financed my car loan from another company, but they were purchased by Capital One Auto. So, I can't speak for Capital One's application process, but I can tell you that when my loan was paid it took them forever to get the lien release document to me ( way over one month.) I constantly called customer service only to get the runaround and lectures on the vagaries of the US Postal system "maam - you must this give it time to arrive" that response at the two week mark. Now the USPS is the same system that managed to get my payoff check to them in two days as evidenced by the payoff posting date listed on their own website. Yet, mail they send must go by some more circuitous route that in two weeks in would not have gotten to me. Interesting how any mail received from them has no postmark. Even a fax from them takes 40 to 72 hours to get approval to be sent. Maybe they have to handcraft the paper they use? Make their own glue for the envelopes? Maybe they just don't send out the paperwork when they say they do which is the more likely scenario. Want to talk to a supervisor? Good luck! Supervisors seem to be in a multitude of meetings as they are never available...hmmm, maybe they should spend less time in "meetings" and more time training their people in how to actually get some work done while providing good customer service as the customer service people are rude, insufferable and NOT helpful, . I will never use this company for another loan, and after the trouble I had getting my paperwork on the loan payoff I also sent back my Capital One credit card. This episode has soured me on doing business with them forever in way shape or form. I guess their credit card commercials are based on their own company profile - "say NO and keep those pesky customers in their place."
