Pros: The ranks of the mafia are explained throughout the novel.
Cons: People could confuse Watson with Mario Puzo. At times the plot is unbelievable.
The Bottom Line: Mafia fans this is a book you cannot refuse. Learn the ranks, enjoy the story, and most importantly do it for the family.

New York; New Jersey? No, how about New Orleans for the backdrop of this mafia epic. This is the story of Silvio Randazzo's rise through the mafia ranks. From Sicily to the docks of the Mississippi River in New Orleans, Silvio earns his strips for the extended Priola family. The story revolves around his love affair for his cousin Annunziata and the smarts he uses in the family business. It's a forbidden relationship, but it molds the story together. Each time they come together a bad occurrence happens and they are forced to leave each once again. There is plenty of action as well as drama in this tale. The story weaves back and forth from events in Sicily to New Orleans quite fluidly. Things get a little unbelievable at times, Silvo seems like a Sicilian superman 'cause he gets out of every situation alive every time. Other than that it is a very good read for any book fan. While the Sopranos lay around, get fat, and complain about everything in their suburban mansions, Silvio Randazzo and his cohorts scour the world(literally)to achieve their goals for survival.
