dalraddy's Full Review: Jura-Capresso MT500 10-Cup Coffee Maker
We have used this coffee maker at least once daily for more than four years and are about to order a new one because the whole machine is showing its age. It makes excellent coffee and we have no hesitation about buying another.
Having grown up in Europe, we like strong coffee and we care about the taste. We make at least 6 cups every morning so have no issue with the temperature of the coffee if you make a small amount -- though I actually don't drink coffee very hot because I think it tastes better when it doesn't nearly burn your tongue. We don't find it difficult to position the carafe correctly -- yes, if you are careless the coffee will spill, but the design has to be that way or the coffee in the carafe would lose heat and taste. For us, the superior taste is well worth the two seconds it takes to set the carafe securely in its place. The second cup of coffee in the thermal carafe is so much better than coffee in a glass carafe on a hot plate which very quickly gets a burned taste. We have had many other coffee makers but this one is easily the best for speed, ease of use, and outstanding coffee.
