| jamiedavis's Full Review: Carrabba's Italian Grill |
This is written on the one located on Mt. Zion Blvd. The bread is good, but they give you some kind of weird oil to dip it in, which you either hate or love. (I liked it because it was different than just plain old butter).
The menu actually names everything in italian, but gives a detailed description for all the selections. The appetizers range from calamari to mozzarella sticks. The best thing to do is order the Antipasti Platter ($8.49) which comes with mozzarella sticks, calamari, and bruschette carrabba. Bruschette carrabba is garlic toast with mushrooms, two cheeses, and tomato. It is so yummy!
I got Mezzaluna ($9.99); ravioli in tomato sauce, and it was much better than I expected. It actually had freshly shredded cheese on it, and real tomatoes. I would order it again. The portions are big enough to share if you aren't starving. They offer wood-fired pizza, fish, chicken, and steak. They have classic pasta dishes, as well as their own specialties. Their chicken marsala ($13.49)is tasty. It is topped with mushrooms and prosciutto.
The wait staff is very attentive and accomodating. The wine list is moderate, along with the selection of deserts. The salads they make are good to. This place buries Olive Garden. It's very contemporary looking. Dim lights make i have an intimate touch.
