I read this book because I wanted to read a scary book. And there's no other author to turn to for scary books except Stephen King. Stephen King is known for writing books filled with suspense and thrills. This book along with many others are filled with spine chilling creations of Stephen King.
Carrie was a young girl in high school. She was always teased by her peers because they always thought that she was weird. Her mother was very religious and always thought that Carrie was always sinning. She thought that because Carrie had a power that she didn't quite know about. But she soon learned to use it for evil doings on her peers after they played a horrible trick on her at the school prom.
The main character was Carrie. I really felt sorry for her in the beginning because she was always teased by her peers. They called her names, threw things at her and she never did anything wrong to them. But in the end I think they deserved it.
I thought this book was well written. It wasn't hard to use your imagination to see what's going on. It tells you everything you need to know without giving away the ending until the end. I loved this book it makes you want to find out what happens next.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves scary books.
