Pros: Keeps CD's within reach without sacrificing storage space

The Bottom Line: Nice idea, but eventually scratches your CD's beyond all recognition.

| macgyver24's Full Review: Case Logic Visor Organizer |
When my wife owned a car, she used a Case Logic CD Visor to store her CD's in. This is a clever set up, not unlike staggered credit card pockets in a man's wallet.
What's Hot
This thing lets you store 12 CD's in a relatively unobtrusive way in your vehicle. Instead of having your car's centre console full of jewel cases, you can save that space for something else and put your CD's on your sun visor. It also keeps your CD's out of direct sunlight which can warp and destroy them. Adjustable straps ensure a tight, snug fit around the visor you are mounting it to.
What's Not
Problem number one is that you are now putting extra weight and volume on your car's sun visor. This can affect it's adjustability because of the extra load on it. Also when you flip it up it may not retract fully and could block your view if you are very tall. (which I am) I would install this on the passenger's side visor to avoid problems for the driver.
Problem number two is that this thing is a CD deathtrap. The construction is more like a cheap nylon wallet you'd get from Disneyland, complete with stitches, seams, etc. Inserting and removing CD's repeatedly from this holder will eventually scratch all your CD's unless you are REALLY careful. And if you are flying along the freeway, I doubt you'd take much time to make sure the CD doesn't get scratched. I made my wife throw this thing away because a lot of her favorite CD's were ruined from storing in this thing, and gave her a traditional CD wallet with soft sleeves instead.
Also, when you buy it in the store, it seems nice and thin. But don't be fooled; once you load it up with CD's it gets pretty thick and bulky. I wouldn't want to have the visor flip down in front of my face when driving!
Verdict
Nice idea, but eventually scratches your CD's beyond all recognition. If the area that touches the CD was constructed of softer, scratch resistant material, this would get a lot more stars from me!
UPDATE: I have seen a similar model in stores, but it uses very soft cloth fabric instead of rough nylon. So if you decide to buy, make sure you get this model!
