Pros: After 40 years of not touching a piano or keyboard, I wanted something easy.
Cons: None yet.
The Bottom Line: If you haven't played in years, and pluck up enough courage go out and buy this. It is a lot of fun.

| Susie-34668's Full Review: Casio Ctk-611 Keyboard |
I work with the elderly, and spend many hours entertaining them. I read and sing to them. We do puzzles together and throw a balloon back to each other.
Now the house has an electric organ. A really expensive one and I have been eyeing it up for a few months now. I mentioned it to my husband. The problem being, I had piano lessons when I was 9 years old, and am now 53.
Every time we go into the Mall, and they have the shops with people playing organs, my husband tries to get me in.
Well, the other day I came home and a present was waiting for me. The Casio CTK-611 keyboard.
It is just perfect for someone like me with little background in the music industry. I know where middle C is and that was the start of playing this instrument.
There are too many features to write about. It has:-
61 full size keys.
This is great because I have to read the notes and find the keys. I am used to a piano and being full size really helps me.
192 tones.
I have been trying all the different ones out. The same music sounds so different with each one.
100 rhythm patterns.
Want to dance, swing, waltz. It has it all.
The LCD Window shows the tone/rhythm/etc.
It is great to watch the keyboard playing the notes and chords in this window. Also the metronome giving you the beat.
It has 2 built in speakers.
Headphone jacks.
I had mine plugged into the main electric outlet, but the great thing is, when I take it to work, I just pop in batteries.
Has this started me on a new career. No way! Am I getting enjoyment out of this product. You bet. My ladies are learning with me. I must admit the first week only my husband and I heard the appalling sounds I made. Now I can read music and hold a tune.
I am really pleased he purchased this as a gift for me. It is very simple to use. The manual explains it in simple English for me. Would I recommend it. Yes for a beginner it is more than I expected. If you are an accomplished musician I would suggest a more expensive product.
