We are a family of 4 and stayed at the Catamaran in March of 2003. When we got there we upgraded to a suite (just a regular hotel room with a seperate bedroom) and loved it. The beach was right outside of our waterfront room and the kids could play there while we watched them from our patio. The walking path was also right outside our room and a great way to see some nice houses and get some exercise. The restaurant food was good, pricey as is almost all hotel restaurants but one day they didn't want to serve us breakfast in the outside seating area. We talked them into it but then the server was grouchy the entire meal. The pool area was nice and we spent some time there. One drawback (and a serious one if you ask me) was the incredibly near-sounding noise from an adjacent room. I got very little sleep a couple of nights because of it. All and all it was a good place to relax with the kids and very close to Sea World, about a 3-4 minute drive away.
