LILvoyce's Full Review: Celestial Seasonings Herbal Tea Tangerine Orange Z...
I love the taste of most Celestial Seasonings Herbal Teas. I plan on reviewing every flavor I can find. One of my latest box purchased is Celestial Seasonings Herbal Tea Tangerine Orange Zinger.
What your Getting
Your getting 20 tea bags without tags or draw strings. They come in a pouch for freshness, but are not individually wrapped. Rest assured, I have been drinking Celestial Seasonings teas for many months. As long as you fold your pouch back up and then store, you tea bags will remain fresh.
Celestial Seasonings Herbal Tea Tangerine Orange Zinger also happens to be caffeine free. Their teas always come in the most beautiful cardboard boxes wrapped in plastic. Celestial Seasonings aren't big on the fuss of a drawstring or individually wrapping their tea, but are more known for their wonderful flavors.
To Prepare
Steep 4-6 minutes by the cup over boiling water, then if you prefer you can sweeten. I like to steep mine over no more than 6 oz of boiling water per cup, per tea bag.
They also give a recipe for making it by the pitcher: It is basically 2 cups of boiling water over 4 tea bags steeped for 4-6 minutes, then adding sweetener while the tea is hot. You then add 2 cups cold water and then chill.
Ingredients
Hibiscus, Rosehips, Blackberry Leaves, Natural Tangerine Flavor with other Natural Flavors(Contains Soy Lecithin), Orange Peel, and Hawthorn Berries.

My thoughts
If you wait the entire 4-6 minutes of steeping your end result will produce a rich dark golden cup of tea. You can smell the citrus while it is brewing. It is light enough to drink without sweetener. I do use the sweetener and add two splenda per cup of brewed tea. I like it sweet.
This tea is very drinkable, and does taste great, but this particular flavor is not my favorite. While I am able to sense undertones of tangerine, the orange peel really stands out the most. It leaves a slightly sour aftertaste that I am not overly fond of while drinking hot. I have noticed it is more tolerable if I brew a pitcher, sweeten it, and then serve it over ice. I prefer to drink this tea over ice, rather than hot. I just can't get past the aftertaste any other way.
I think that this orange/tangerine flavor would have went better with a stronger tea. Overall the tea is just to light to blend in with these strong citrus flavors. It reminded me more of a light flowery tea splashed with an overpowering Citrus Punch. It just didn't match as well as I would have liked.
Overall
This tea is very pleasant served over ice. I would recommend it that way, but not hot. This is probably one of my least favorited Celestial Seasonings flavor, and the reason for that, is that I like to drink my tea more often hot than cold. I am giving this tea only an average rating. Please note that I am very picky about my teas. You might be a bit more generous than I. I think this tea is best served over ice as a morning tea.
