I'm a huge fan of Celestial Seasonings Teas. Most of them are just terrific. The Holidays bring out the Holiday Seasonal teas. Gingerbread Spice, Nutcracker Suite, Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride, and Sugar Plum Spice and this the Candy Cane Lane tea. I do baskets for fundraisers and including these Holiday teas, some cookies and a couple of mugs makes for a nice theme basket. The Candy Cane Lane box shows happy romping Polar bears holding Candy Canes so it looks great in gift baskets during the Holidays. When I include the Candy Cane Lane tea I combine it with Peppermint Bark (very easy to make) some candy canes and a red or red and white mug.
The Celestial Seasonings company had their herbs hand picked, then dried and packaged in hand-sewn muslin bags and sold to local health food stores. They were almost an overnight success. They decided to do whimsical, sweet packaging to make the entire tea drinking experience. They commissioned specially designed artwork and carefully researched words of wisdom for each package. The company originates in Boulder, Colorado .
They are very supportive of nature and farming. The boxes are biodegradable and covered in wonderful art work and poetry. I love the quotes all over the boxes i.e. Better keep yourself clean and bright, you are the window through which you must see the world written by George Bernard Shaw.
You get 20 packages per box.The packages are wrapped in a waxy paper and the entire box is recyclable and "green". The company itself is pre green, they offer wonderful herbal teas with ingredients purchased through out the world and blended for your palate's pleasure. Celestial Seasonings offers 100 delicious and all-natural products full of exotic flavors and quality ingredients according to the site. Celestial Seasoning has it's own blend master, Charlie Baden, blend master since 1975.
