Celestial Seasonings overall makes great teas. They are your basic box tea bags, containing a pouch that reveals their tea bags. These tea bags are not frills and don't come individually wrapped or with drawstrings and tags. You have to remember to close the pouch to retain the freshness of these tea bags. If you don't mind that then overall most Celestial Seasonings Teas taste near perfect.
There are very few of there teas I find flaw in. Your getting 20 tea bags in a plastic wrapped box for around $2 depending on where you purchase. This particular version I find easily in most grocery stores. I think it must be very popular.

With that being said, let me introduce you to their Peppermint tea. This tea is made of all natural ingredients and is a caffeine free herbal tea. There is only one ingredient in the Peppermint version, and that would of course be Peppermint.

I prefer to drink this tea hot and well steeped. You can see as your steeping this tea how the green peppermint leaves start to turn your hot water into a rich golden color.

The taste is refreshing and minty flavored. I would say it is just a tad bit stronger than a light tea. The peppermint flavor seems to be lacking just a bit. I think that perhaps a bit of rose hips or something would improve this tea dramatically. This tea does sense a slight aftertaste that is barely noticeable. I am an avid tea drinker and I notice everything. I can sense a slight taste that reminds me of spinach. It isn't a bad taste, but definitely there. I cure this with a drop or two of lemon, and I do use artificial sweetener, although I would prefer to use real sugar. I think a splash on honey would also be good with this tea.

This tea is above average in tasting, but could use a slight redesign to improve this tea. I give it a 4 stars, and would recommend this tea in spite of that slight after taste.

I also enjoyed making a nice gift basket that I gave to a friend of mine. The box was really cute and holiday colored. I went with a Candy cane themed basket and filled it with candy canes, Christmas candy cane mugs, Celestial Peppermint Tea, and red and green foiled chocolates, with Christmas confetti. I wrapped it and placed a bow on it, and it was a huge hit. I decorated my basket to match the Celestial Seasonings box. It was cute. I think many of their teas would compliment gift baskets for a cost effective more personal touch during the holidays.

If your seeking a decent herbal caffeine free peppermint tea, then I think you would enjoy this product. This tea contains no calories, fats, sugar, or carbs, and is great for a healthy alternative.
