| three_ster's Full Review: Centrum Multivitamin/Multimineral Chewable Tablets |
Throughout my life, I have had a problem when it comes to taking medicines and vitamins. The biggest problem being that I have a hard time swallowing tablets. When companies started making chewable vitamins, I jumped right on, and when Centrum started offering a chewable product, I knew it was time to move to their brand. First off, Centrum is a trusted brand that believes in combining many necessities of our daily diets, and putting them into one little vitamin that gets us through the day. It makes it very easy for me, because then I only have to worry about taking one per day, and letting my diet take care of the rest of my nutritional requirements.
It is very important that you are taking vitamins on a regular basis. There are many important vitamins and minerals that we are not getting from the foods in our diets. Centrum provides these supplements to help add the needed nutritional value to our diets. Even if you don't care about what you eat, and are eating pizza every night, you need to make sure that you are getting vitamins into your system. Taking a chewable vitamin is almost like cheating the system, in that you can take one and still go back to your pizza during the day. Having recently changed my diet immensely though, I have found that these small little tablets are not only a time saver, but an insurance policy that my body is getting everything it needs.

With the exception of chromium, manganese, and calcium, the chewable vitamins give the same nutrients that the tablets normally do. In my diet, I have a lot of calcium products, so I make up the lack of calcium in my vitamins, by having it in other foods. For those who need the calcium, they also have a chewable form of those vitamins now too. I used to take them, and they are not that bad. Some people have trouble breaking down tablets in their stomachs, and the chewable vitamins go a long way to breaking them down much faster for us.
The Suggested Use
It is recommended that adults and children 9 years of age and older chew one of these tablets daily with food. I tend to use them with my breakfast, so that maybe the vitamins will give me an extra boost of energy during the day. The thing to watch out for, is the high content of Vitamin A in these tablets. Consuming too much Vitamin A can increase the risk of osteoporosis, so if you are taking other Vitamin A supplements, then this is a product to avoid. Also, as with any vitamins, or medicines, you should never take more than one dose during the course of a day. These are very strong vitamins, and are only meant to be taken once every 24 hours. You body needs the time to consume all of the nutrients from each tablet, and prepare itself for the next one.
Final Recommendation
It is very important to treat our bodys right whenever we have the chance. I will never claim that I live the healthiest life-style possible, but I have been taking strides to get better at it. With these new Chewable Centrum multi-vitamins, I am able to do it very easily, without having to think twice about it. These particular ones come in an orange flavor, which makes it almost seem like I am getting a treat each and every time I eat one. At only $8.99 at my local store, it seemed like an inexpensive way to keep myself healthy. The bottle comes with a childproof lid, and it is very durable when it is dropped. I highly recommend this product to anyone that takes vitamins. It is not only great for the ones of us that have a hard time swallowing pills, but it is easy for the average vitamin user as well.
