Pros: Easy to install, matches well with car's interior, versatile
Cons: Not enough side support for child's head when they fall asleep
The Bottom Line: The only thing that kept me from giving it a perfect score was that it lacked the side supports. Other than that, this seat will not disappoint.

| sebandsophie's Full Review: Century Breverra Ascend |
Our two and one-half year old daughter was rapidly outgrowing her toddler seat and the time was approaching for converting to a booster seat. With the many choices out there for car seats, the task of purchasing the right one for your child can be daunting. After several trips to various stores to look at and compare seats, I purchased the Century Breverra Ascend SE at a local Toys R Us. I've always had good luck with Century products and found them to be of exceptional quality at a fair price. Some of the features are as follows:
1) 5-point harness belt. What this means is that the belt protects their shoulders as well as the child's hip/leg area. Its a much more secure system and is a definite must when considering a car seat.
2) The harness belt can be adjusted to your child's height and can be used for toddlers ranging in weight from 30 lbs. to 80 lbs.
3) Padded arm rests.
4) Cup holder that can be used on either side of the seat. One problem is that not all cups will fit in the holder. Those of you who have gerber sippy cups will know what I'm talking about.
5) Harness belt has a adjustment strap located in the the front of the seat so that it can be can be easily loosen or tighten.
6) Anchor Hardware for cars that have a tether anchor. This allows you to strap the back of the seat to the top of your back deck by using a tether hook. This provides additional stabilization of the seat by preventing the side-to-side movement when one takes a sharp corner.
I've found that this booster seat was very easy to install and sits tightly in the car. So many other seats fit poorly and moved from side to side. It's also very easy to place a child in the seat because it sits low to the seat. Actually, my daughter insists on sitting herself (2 year old independence phase) and has no problem climbing into it. The harness is also easy to work with. It does not twist or unravel like so many other systems do. The clip that goes above the chest area keeps the belt from twisting and is a very nice feature. I can't see spending $100 to up to $200 for a booster seat. I don't see how spending this much more can give you a better seat. For the money, this seat meets my expectations and I think it will for you too.
