Almost perfect...

I received my Chantal Enamel Teapot 3 years ago for a Christmas present after eyeing it in a store with a friend. I don't know that I would have spent a hundred bucks on a teapot for myself, but it was a terrific gift and money well spent.
The teapot I received has a gorgeous Cobalt Blue finish, and the hardware is high polish stainless steel. It heats as quickly as my old Copper-Bottom kettle and I love the distinctive two-tone whistle. Overall Performance is outstanding.
After three years of regular use, this unit has proven to be remarkably durable. We leave it on the stove and even with regular bumps from other pots and pans, in a high traffic area, the finish is still flawless. Not a single blemish. Any splashes or splatters from other pans clean off easily. A once-a-year quick cleaning with SoftScrub keeps it looking new.
The only flaw with this unit is the "Stay Cool" handle. On Chantal cookware the handle is on the side, away from the heat. Chantal handles have an air pocket, which keeps the heat from the pan from conducting to the handle. Unfortunately with a teapot the handle is positioned above and this allows heat from the burner to heat the handle. Hot enough to give you a burn. (I don't know if a non gas-heating element would have the same effect.) We get around this by using a pot handle hot pad when pouring. I found one that looks like a fish at my local kitchen store and it looks like it was made for this teapot.
All-and-all this is an exceptional teapot that I would recommend to anyone who would use it regularly. (Note to Chantal: An improvement to the handle would remove any doubt that this is the best teapot ever.)
