| chocolatekiss's Full Review: Chap Stick Lip Moisturizer |
I picked ChapStick Lip Moisturizer because summer is rapidly approaching. It's hard to believe that it's already June-- this year went by so fast! Just as I have been told to liberally slather sunscreen on everyday, I thought I should have some protection for my lips. The thought of skin cancer scares me, and I know that teenage years are vital to prevent something like that from happening later in life.
Who says eyes are the key to your soul? My highly important opinion (ha) is that lips are an art in itself! We all want moisturized and kissable lips...whether they be a sheer burst of color, heavily pigmented matte, or bare. My friend came back from April vacation with flaky, sunburnt lips. It was hard for her to move them and it was not a pleasant sight for anyone. Eek! ChapStick Lip Moisturizer saved me from the same unfortunate fate with its excellent SPF 15.
There are many other choices that promise the same thing. But ChapStick is a very widely known brand that many people trust. I have never heard of any allergic reactions to ChapStick products, or bad opinions about one. It's also sold for a very reasonable price, ranging from $1-$3. And so, I wisely decided to choose this over other similar variations.
Packaging & Promises
(CoOL lettering gone by popular demand xP)
ChapStick Lip Moisturizer comes in two forms. There is clear gel, which I own. Also the standard stick like otherChapstick, Blistex, or Burt's Bees versions. It comes in a dark blue soft plastic container with an angled white tip. There is .35 oz, a generous amount. The actual product comes out through a small hole in the angled tip. This makes for precision and convenience for application. Just squeeze gently and apply straight to your lips, or to your finger first if you want. There is a screw-off cap with grips so it's very easy to remove without getting lost easily, as it's not that small. The product claims (taken from package) are
-skin protectant
-sunscreen
-A conditioning & moisturizing lip balm.

chocolatekiss's Smoochiful Experience
ChapStick Lip Moisturizer is an excellent product. It delivers on its promises. When you first apply it, it is totally clear and makes your chapped lips soft and supple. It goes on smoothly. There is no tingling, which might spell bad news for more sensitive skin. It completely protects lips from the sun. SPF 15 is highly commendable. It is the minimum SPF most dermatologists recommend for daily use. ChapStick Lip Moisturizer also moisturizes wonderfully. There is no scent, good or bad. I've been outside many times exposed to the and my lips have stayed moist and shielded. Eventually it wears off, but a good several hours after you apply this product you can still feel a slickness on your lips. It gives a soft sheen to the lips and feels sooo nice. Wonderful for kissing, if I do say so myself. The product is easy to tote around. It can come anywhere tucked into your pocket, purse, whatever you prefer. I highly recommend ChapStick Lip Moisturizer as an effective sunscreen and great moisturizer that will leave your lips wonderfully conditioned.
