popsrocks's Full Review: Chicco - Atmosphere Polly High Chair
My wife is the shopper in our family. She also is sure to get the proper items for our children to use with their children.
The Chico Atmosphere Polly High Chair
One such item was this high chair made by Chicco. It has the name Atmosphere and Polly on the box. This is much the same as a couple of others posted on the site but this particular one has a design on the seat of plain beige and an optional light blue coloured pad.
That purchase was done over half a year ago and the product has been used now for a number of months. The beauty of this chair is that it's designed to be used by a 3-6 month infant and as the baby gets older and bigger it adapts to a hold a child until three years old. At the younger age an insert is used giving the baby more support. I like how it works. Our newest grand daughter has now started to grow and this high chair is growing with her and that piece gets removed when the child ages and can hold him/herself up and eat on their own. With the huge tray removed the chair can be moved directly to the table and the child can then eat from the table like the rest of the family. They will not have to use a booster seat or "phone book" for a boost on a regular chair.
The chair has two cloth pads that are removable for washing. One is blue, the other beige. The vinyl coated seat is well padded and because of the non porous material is easily cleaned. The seat can be set in multi-positions so as baby grows s/he's always comfortable. The easy to use mechanism makes this a simple one handed deal. The additional reclining positions are cool. I wish they made one for me, I could eat at the table and then simply recline right there! The multi-recline feature is for when baby is an infant.
When bigger like now we can adjust the footrest just perfectly for baby.

The tray is huge. It has compartments like a TV dinner dish. WOW! What a TV dinner this could hold. My little grand daughter will share it with me I'm sure. She actually looked lost behind the big tray at one time but she has grown into it well. The tray is dishwasher safe. They are really on top of design with this high chair. I recall the days when I had to use two hand to take of the tray. Now it's a one handed snap of a job.
Buckling her up with the five point safety harness is easy enough. No more nor less difficult than any other I have taken the kids in and out of.
The whole thing is on lockable casters and moves easily but also stays firm. The really cool thing about this good sized stable chair is the way it folds up. It closes to a footprint of 10" with the tray hanging on it. Take off the tray and it's less than eight inches. WOW! again. This highchair is a bit heavy but it really is strong, stable and something I don't have to worry about as far as tipping.
