Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie's plot.

"Prince Caspian" is the second installment of C.S. Lewis' "Chronicles Of Narnia" series, which really picks up on where "The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe" left off. The story begins with Peter, Edmund, Susan, and Lucy at the train station still on planet Earth when Peter has a fist fight with a guy who bumped into him then demanded an apology. After the other guy gets taken away, Susan asks Peter is he is sure that he could not have just walked away from that with Peter saying he is tried of being treated like a kid and how they were not always kids, referring to when they quickly evolved into grown up warriors in Narnia. Susan points how they all need to accept the fact that they live here on Earth, but just then, everything suddenly feels and appears to be spinning around with the scenery around them changing a little bit more and more by the seconds. Susan suggests that they all hold hands as the train station gradually transforms into the inside of a big cave as the train takes off, disappearing into thin air.

As opposed to the Winter scene in "The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe", it is Summer with rural trees and mountains with a big beautiful lake in front of the other sceneries. Edmund mentions not remembering any anicent ruins in Narnia before, only to have those ruins turn out to be the house they stayed in the first time they were in Narnia. They also find Mr. Tumnus' old house where it was before, only now barricaded under a cave to now be another ancient ruin. Inside, they find plenty of antiques that turn out to be the weapons and armor they used the first time they were in Narnia, along with ancient sculptures of some of their friends from when they were there before. It also turns out the year since they were last there is hundreds of years for Narnia's time.

Narnia also turns out to be currently ruled by an evil emperor who had long abolished the creatures who lived there before with the intent to kill any one of them if he sees any of the like again. He even has a group of his men beat and gag a dwarf before taking him out to sea, intending to drown him. Luckily, the children spot them in time and shoot those guys with Susan's bow and arrow, catching them offguard, and forcing them to retreat by swimming away while Peter dives in the water to save the dwarf and bring him to shore.

The children then learn from the dwarf that Aslan had disappeared centuries ago with Narnia now being a much more savage place than it was before. The trees were also not interactive anymore, but like the trees on planet Earth. They even had an encounter with a bear not talking, but charging Lucy with the intent to kill and eat her like a regular wild bear on Earth would, only to have the dwarf barely shoot that thing in time with a bow and arrow. The dwarf also turns out to be pretty good and really fast with the sword during an exhibition bout with Edmund.

The dwarf takes them deep in the woods where Narnians deprived of their world are now hiding to have it turn out they had been awaiting the children's return, according to their prophecy. They also meet Caspian, the son of the last Emperor from before Narnians were deprived of their own world, really wanting to reclaim his throne from the current evil Emperor.

The real adventure begins when the children, now as grown up knights and warriors again, along with Prince Caspian and the Narnians, take battle to the evil Emperor and his men. The battle is so lively, fast paced, and very intense with so much depth and emotion to give a great feel of what being in that sort of battle is really like. The technology, sound effects, and scenery is so amazing, life-like, and complete; viewers could very well feel as if they are at, if not in, that battle. The joustings, bow and arrow shootings, and catapulting alone made it a very tight amazing battle. Large birds carrying the dwarves over the evil Emperor's army for the dwarves to shoot their bows and arrows down on them from up above is a good impressive turning point in the battle. They still do not have airplanes in Narnia. Narnians destroying what held up the ceilings in their underground homes before evacuating, causing the ground to give way under the evil Emperor's army being another very smart and impressive turning point. Lucy had gone to find Aslan, asking him why he did not just appear and help them in battle like he did before, only to have Aslan point how nothing ever happens the same way twice. Aslan, however, agreed their friends "had slept long enough" before letting out his loud fearless roar to wake the wildlife in Narnia again, making it all alive and interactive once again before having it all join them in battle for the biggest turning point of them all to begin...

This sequel not only picks up on where the first movie left off, but it also makes the series get that much better as it goes along so far. This sequel could even be compared up with "Lord Of The Rings" or somethnhg of that sort. Those who like "The Lion, The Witch, & The Wardrobe" will definitely love this film. It is also strongly recommended for fans of "Lord Of The Rings", "Harry Potter", "Willow", "Wind In The Willows", "The Hobbit", and the like.
