| damiendad's Full Review: Chuck My Talkin Firetruck |
Welocome to the world of Chuck the talking firetruck.
I saw the commercial on TV and I decided to get one for my son for his 4th birthday. He likes firetrucks and toys that make noise, so I thought this would be good for him.
When he opened the present he was very excited. The lights, the sounds, the fact that it was a firetruck just filled him with joy.
He took it out and started pushing the buttons and raising the ladder. He was so happy. Then I showed him that when you call the truck, it will come to you. I did it first. I yelled "come here Chuck!" and sure enough Chuck came to me. Then my son tried it. He yelled "come here Chuck!" and nothing happened. He did it again, and again nothing happened. So I tried it again, and the truck came to me. The only thing I could figure out was that a 4 year old doesn't have a deep enough voice to activate the trucks sensor. That's a shame.
But, on a happier note, it didn't seem to bother him. When the truck's front sensor hits something, he says "Ohh that smarts". So, he's happy crashing the truck into things. And believe it or not, the front of the truck is a soft rubber, so it doesn't damage anything.
All together, I think he enjoys his present, so I think it is worth it.
