Cingular Mobile Phone Service- It's My Single Plan

Pros: Great Customer Service, a plan for everyone.
Cons: I have not found any yet.
The Bottom Line: If you have Cingular Wireless coverage in your area, check it out. You will not be let down.

I used to have AT&T as my cellular phone company. But in February of 2004, Cingular acquired AT&T Wireless for a mere $41 billion, give or take a few dollars.
NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - Cingular Wireless said Tuesday it would buy AT&T Wireless Services Inc. for about $41 billion, topping a rival bid from Vodafone of Britain in a deal that would create the nation's biggest mobile phone company.
Although Cingular bought AT&T Wireless I was still able to keep my AT&T Wireless phone plan and cell phone. I did, however, receive my monthly statements from Cingular. For all intents and purposes, I was now a Cingular Wireless customer.
I didn't want to change because I loved my phone and I loved the plan. I was not able to keep my AT&T Wireless phone with a Cingular Wireless plan because of the chip inside my phone was not compatible with Cingular Wireless.
It wasn't until recent events that took me traveling across the United States that I realized I needed a better plan. The roaming charges and long distance tolls were killing me.
After I received my monthly statement, I called up Cingular Wireless. I asked that nice lady on the telephone about the different plans that they offered. I explained to her that I needed a plan that offered no roaming and long distance charges because my bill was getting too high. After a brief explanation of the different plans that would work for me, she said to me "You know I can take those charges off."
I was shocked, "Really, okay so how much would my credit be?"
She said more than what I was expecting, she was going to give me credit for this months long distance and roaming charges and last months. She just earned her Company my service.
That evening we went down the our local Cingular Wireless store and signed up for our new plan.
PLANS
The company has many different cellular plans. It takes a few moments to figure out which plan is best for you.
Nation 450 Plan - This is the plan I chose, because I do not use my cell phone a lot. This plan offers 450 anytime minutes ~ 5000 night and weekends minutes ~ Unlimited mobile to mobile minutes ~ long distance and roaming charges are included in the plan. And the best part, if I do not use my allotted 450 minutes, the unused portion is rolled over until next month. The price of the plan for my area is $39.99.
There are a few other plans that offer the same features as the 450 plan. The only differences are the anytime minutes and the following plans have unlimited nights and weekends. The 450 plan is the only plan that has a limit on the nights and weekends calls.

Please note that the plan number represents how many anytime minutes you get.
All of the plans include the following features: Basic Voice mail ~ Caller id ~ Call forwarding ~ Call waiting ~ Three way calling
Other Plans
Cingular wireless also has a wide variety of Family Plans, Data Plans and Prepaid Plans.
Family Plans range from $59.99 to $299.99 for the first two lines. Each additional line is $9.99.
Prepaid Plans range from $0.10 per minute to $0.25 per minute.
Data Plans range from $19.99 to $99.99 per plan.

Reception
I live in the Greater Sacramento area and as I said in the beginning of my epinion, I have been traveling across the United States. I have never had a problem with my reception or with my calls being dropped.
