I have to say that I have only read one book by Maeve Binchy. This one being it. I thought a Circle of Friends was an awesome book! It had a lot of characters that portrayed different areas of society coming together.
Benny Hogan was the main character, though I have to say that all the "friends" seemed pretty prominate in the book. She was a wonderfully strong character, and Mauve Binchy was so great at involving the reader. I had a hard time not finishing the book in one hour.
Yet while the book was well written and had a very interesting plot and story line, I was not so impressed with the movie. It was good, but I thin it lacked the heart of the book. But then I guess you can't ever really justify a good book with a movie.
