I purchased the Circulon stockpot because I liked the size, and because Circulon products generally have a good reputation for quality overall. What I didn't know, however, is that the anondized line doesn't match up to the reputation of the other Circulon lines.
As I said before, the size was perfect, and the pot is lightweight. Two definite plusses, since my other stockpot is by Le Cruset, and it's huge...and very heavy. The Circulon stockpot has cool-touch handles, an added bonus -- the lid also has a cool-touch handle. You don't need to reach for a hotpad when opening the lid or moving the pot around.
After a few uses, however, I noticed that the inside non-stick coating was starting to peel away. I used wooden spoons with this pot, never metal utensils, so I couldn't figure out why the coating would come off so quickly. The ridges in the bottom of the pan were also hard to get clean, making this an almost-handwash-only pot, which is a big negative in my book. Even worse, the black steel coating around the outside of the pot came off, leaving a nasty powdery residue in the dishwasher or the sink.
So between the non-stick coating and the anondized steel outside -- the pot started to look worn out rather quickly -- not the sort of thing you would expect from a $50 pot. While Circulon isn't high-end cookware, I certainly expected it to last longer than it did. I wouldn't recommend their products, especially not this stockpot, if you do a lot of cooking.
