| game_n_stuff's Full Review: Circus Circus Hotel & Casino |
The first time I stayed in Las Vegas I decided to stay at the Circus Circus. It seemed nice and inexpensive. Here are some of my thoughts on the different aspects of the hotel.
The First Look/The Check In
When you enter the premises, there is a big awning with circus or carnival lights. You will most likely not get valet parking, so you will have to park in the parking garage.
The Lobby is very simple and also fits the circus theme. There are not many desks and it took about one hour and thirty minutes to check in (not including waiting in line) due to the inexperience of the employee.
The Rooms
Most likely, the next thing that you will do is go up to the room. You will easily find elevators and go to the room. While we were there a friendly old man that didn't work there informed us that one of the elevators didn't work and that he got caught in it for five hours. This is just one of the many faults of the hotel that could easily ruin your stay, you just have to be careful. All I have to say about our room is that it was old, smelly, and small.
The Amenities
The Circus Circus has the basic hotel amenities.
The Service
The service that we got was terrible. I guess that the employees are truly "carnies".
The AdventureDome
The most pleasing aspect of this hotel is the AdventureDome It is a large indoor theme park that attracts thrill seekers and family alike. If you don't decide to stay here (which you really should) I suggest that you visit the AdventureDome. It is a fun time and also an escape from the Las Vegas sun and heat.
The Resturaunts
There are a few resturaunts around the Circus Circus. The buffet and cafe are disapointing if you expected a massive all-you-can-eat or a really nice restaurant. The steakhouse is pretty nice though.
Final Thoughts
One of the biggest faults of the hotel is something it has little or no control over. It is in a bad location. if you want to go to the other side of "The Strip" it is a six mile walk. I suggest you take "The Deuce" double decker bus. It seems like you get what you pay for, so i suggest that you go for a nicer hotel.
