| frozenfire014's Full Review: Clairol Herbal Essences Clarifying for Normal To O... |
I have been using this shampoo for over a month now, and I must say that I am very pleased with this product. The first thing that you will notice when buying this shampoo is the price. (The price is somewhat expensive.) The shampoo is available in two sizes: 25 fl oz and 12 fl oz for 5.99 and 3.99. There is 3 people in my family so I purchased the 25 fl oz bottle. This size of product lasted about 3 weeks.
The first time I squeezed the product out I was very impressed, the product is thick enough, but not too thick. The product also foams extremely well. The product has a fresh smell to it as well, unlike some herbal products smell. The shampoo cleaned my hair extremely well, removing all of the oil and dirt. The shampoo left no residue in my hair either. After my hair dried, it left my hair shiny and very soft. The shampoo does tend to make my hair more light, causing my hair to stick up more, though.
I liked the fact that this shampoo has a lot of natural ingredients in it, but I would not go as far as to say 99% natural. In fact, I did some research and found that there are some not-so-good for you ingredients in this shampoo, Such as: PROPYLENE GLYCOL (PG), SODIUM LAUREL SULFATE (SLS) & SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE (SLES), FRAGRANCE, etc. I suggest you visit http://bestchoice.itgo.com/dangers_top10.htm for more information. The thing you need to know is that these ingredients are common in cosmetics and beauty supplies, unfortunately.
On the other hand, there is plenty of good points about using Herbal Essences. There is a lot of good herbs and vitamins in this product such as: Rosemary, Jasmine and Orange Flower. This shampoo is not tested on animals and is biodegradable. I like the idea of using a shampoo that will not harm me or my body or the environment. I also like the relaxing feeling that this shampoo gives. There also is a conditioner version of this product available.
