My hair is thick, shoulder length, and wavy but I always wear it straight. The ends and the under layers of my hair look damaged and feel a little dry if I wait too long between trims.
Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment is a leave-in conditioner that I use to keep my hair from becoming dry and damaged.
About the product
Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment comes in an 8 oz. white plastic spray bottle. A 16 oz. flip-top cap bottle is also available.
Claims from the bottle:
"Hair that is damaged from chemical processes or styling appliances often needs extra help to maintain a healthy look and feel. Even hair that is naturally long, thick or wavy may require special treatment to restore the manageability and shine of healthy hair. Infusium 23 Original Leave-In Treatment infuses hair with 23 essential pro-vitamin and treatment ingredients to correct, restore and stucturize damaged, hard-to-manage hair. Infusium 23 is specially formulated to instantly repair and strengthen damaged hair from root to tip, preventing breakage. The hair cuticle is left fortified for healthy texture, improved manageability and liveliness. And it's light, so it won't weigh down hair-perfect for everyday use."
My Experience
I use a great deal of heat on my hair often. I try to give my hair a break from too much heat by skipping the blow dryer and letting my hair dry to its natural wave. From there I will flat iron all the waves out. I know the flat iron can damage my hair which is why I always use a leave-in treatment of some type to protect it.
I always apply Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment to damp hair. The few times I applied it to dry hair, it felt sticky on my hair and made my hair feel gummy once the conditioner dried.
I spray Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment all over my hair and comb through. I even apply a little to the roots because my hair breaks easily. I don't have a problem with Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment making my roots oily but I also have thick hair which doesn't get oily easily.
I let my hair dry and then style it. I can tell a huge difference in the feel of my hair since I began using Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment. Before my hair felt like hay, now it feels smooth and silky and doesn't look so dry and unmanageable.
I don't really care for the product's scent. It's light but it reeks of chemicals and the added fragrance to try to cover up the chemical smell makes things even worse. However once my hair is dry the scent is gone so I can handle it.
Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment is available at Wal-Mart, Target, and drugstores.
