| gaelkm's Full Review: Claritin-D Allergy and Congestion 12 hour Tablets |
My younger son, Garrett, has always been quite a healthy guy. Recently though, I had noticed that in the evenings, he's been sneezing...up to 6 times in a row and quite often. At first we both ignored it, thinking it was just a coincidence. Then I started to wonder if he had a cold that would not go away. He had never had allergies before and in my stubborn mind, I didn't want to think he might have developed them.
However, this spring we have lots of blooming plants and flowers, therefore lots of pollen, after a particularly heavy rainy season. After my son complained off and on about not being able to breathe while sleeping, he finally made an appointment to see the doctor.
Our doctor told my son that there are many more people with allergies this year due to all the stuff floating around in the air irritating all those nostrils. He suggested my son try Claritin-D 12 Hour tablets. For some reason my son only seems to have his symptoms in the evening and at night. We bought some Claritin-D 12 Hour tablets at our local Long's Drugs. The first night he took it, he noticed a big improvement right away. No stuffy nose and no sneezing. What a big difference. His miserable nights have been replaced by more restful sleep. I am glad he doesn't have any symptoms during the day. The Claritin-D 12 Hour is just right for him and he reports that it works all night allowing him to breathe through his nose with no stuffiness. The package warns that there is a chance of drowsiness, but this is if the dosage is not properly followed; it's simple and straightforward for his use, so we have no problem.
My only minor complaint is that they are on the expensive side. We paid $18.99 for 30 tablets, (which will be gone in 30 days). I am however, very grateful considering how much this product has helped my son. Possibly he will not need to rely on it later in the season either.
