I usually don't buy Claritin because I find them to be so much more expensive than other allergy medicines such as Benedryl or Tylenol Allergy.  However, in spite of my stuffy head and runny nose, it would be helpful if I had a clear head when I made my allergy medication purchase.  Perhaps then I would remember what I love about Claritin. 

First, getting the medicine into you is easy.  I think their packaging is easier than most other allergy meds while still being safe.  The medicine is also easier to swallow or melt (whichever style you purchase) than competiting products.  And, best of all, Claritin does not make me near as thirsty as Benedryl.  When I take Benedryl I only need one dose and I'm sucking water down all day long as well as feeling extremely loopy and goofy.  But Claritin works just as well on my symptoms yet without all the annoying side effects.

I also like that Claritin lasts a full twenty four hours where as many of the other products require you to take multiple doses of the product withing a twenty four hour window.  How many times have I walked around with little foil packets of pills in my pocket, only to stab my finger with the sharp corner which, sadly, is just not in the right position to assist in opening the packet.  So then I can't open the product when I'm out and about and wind up waiting until I get home to open the darn thing.  By then my symptoms have started up again.

Not with Claritin!  I can take it one time at my convenience and it controls my symptoms all day and night long!
