Pros: Crunchy. Chocolatey-ish.
Cons: Not 'real' chocolate. Could be peanut-buttery-er.
The Bottom Line: This is a good candy bar, but not my favorite.

| pearannoyed's Full Review: Clark Bar |
I have a sweet tooth. A really bad sweet tooth.
Basically, if there's sugar in it and no real food value, it will probably make me happy if I eat it. Seriously.
Among the many tasty confections I will snack on given the opportunity, the Clark Bar from Necco is pretty good, but not my favorite.
The Clark bar was originally created by the D.L. Clark company in 1917 - more than 5 years before the similar Butterfinger bar was introduced by the Curtiss Candy Company.
The Clark Bar is made from crunchy peanut butter crisp, covered in a chocolatey coating. The crisp part is tasty, though not as peanut-buttery as maybe it could be. The chocolatey coating is made with Dutched cocoa, but falls short of being 'actual' chocolate. It isn't gross and waxy like some chocolate substitutes, the mouth-feel is similar to real chocolate. Unfortunately, the flavor is not as rich, nor the texture as creamy as real chocolate.
I like Clark bars, and will occasionally pick one up when I want something crunchy and sweet. Most often I'll buy a bag of mini Clark bars around Halloween. But this is not a candy bar that will satisfy a real craving for either chocolate or peanut butter. This candy is good, but not great.
