Pros: Not expensive, easy to find
Cons: Feels slimy, does not prevent breakouts, dries out skin
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this face wash. It is pure junk, and does nothing that it claims to do.

| greeneyedenvy's Full Review: Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Cleanser |
A couple of years ago, my friend was washing her face, and I saw that she was using Clean & Clear Advantage. I asked her if it was good, to which she replied that yes, it was. She had no pimples and her skin looked to be in good condition. A few weeks later, I bought some at a CVS for around 5 or 6 bucks. I had no trouble finding it, and that must be because no one bought it, therefore it was in full stock.
This product has 2% salicylic acid in it, which I always look for in my face washes to help keep breakouts away. This product claims to treat and prevent breakouts.
I followed the directions, which were easy; wet face and rub it on. But as soon as I opened the tube, I was a bit grossed out. It was really gooey looking and felt slimy on my face. The smell isn't necessarily bad, just distinct. Anyway, over the next few days I closely monitored my skin, and noticed some dryness.. Within a week, I had little flare-ups in a few places on my face, meaning pimples were popping up. It kept getting worse, and I finally came to the conclusion that this stuff must clog pores, which makes since because it is tricky to wash off.
I would not recommend this product. It is one of the worst face washed Clean & Clear has made, and I like most of their stuff.
