I bought the treatment stick because, overall, my skin was clear but I needed something to treat the occasional blemish without aggravating it. The treatment stick does exactly that and offers good coverage to hide the blemish. I didn't notice any irritation or drying of my skin after use, and my blemish was reduced considerably when I washed my makeup off at the end of the day.
One thing I noticed--when put on alone it has a tendency to wear away, especially on oily patches of skin. To eliminate this problem, pat the blemish with a little loose or pressed powder after applying and blending the concealer. This (for me) set the concealer for all-day coverage.
Because it's a spot treatment as opposed to an allover treatment, most people could use it without adverse effects. Unless your skin is very olive-toned or dark, I would suggest using the "Light" tint, because it blends to a very neutral finish. And, of course, don't use if you're allergic to salicylic acid. Otherwise, it's a helpful product to cover and eliminate blemishes.
