I’ve tried several moisturizers for my face and body. That you would think under my bathroom cabinet looked like Wal-Mart lotion isle. (ha ha)
Most of you are familiar with at least one type of Clean and Clear Product. I know it has been around for quite sometime because the Clean and Clear astringent pads were very popular when I was in high school. Okay lets not talk about how long ago that was because I don’t want to be bothered with that feeling of depression. (grin)
Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer
The dual action moisturizer comes in a 4 fl oz bottle. The style of the bottle is very unique the top of the bottle is the base. So therefore all the lotion stays down at the neck of the container. Making it easier on you that you don’t have to shake your arm to death trying to get the last little bit out of the bottle. The moisturizer is oil free and its medicated to help prevent and treat pimples from forming. It’s made by Johnson & Johnson.
The cream itself is white and very thin. You really don’t need a lot to spread evenly all over your face. I would try and keep away from your eyes because it does continue Salicylic Acid (0.5%) which is the main ingredient. For those of you that have never used Salicylic Acid is tends to dry your skin out. It’s one of the top things to use for acne. The dermatologist use it as well as many make ups.
How and When to use this lotion
How to use this lotion is simple. You just put a small dab of it in your hand and rub evenly over your clean face. I usually use it at night and in the morning. If you begin to see your face drying out to much then you will need to cut back because the Salicylic Acid may be to much for your face. It may begin to peel but that is a good thing you want it to get the dead skin off. But during this treatment if you experience over dryness you may need to use another moisturizer opposite the time you are using Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer.
When to use it depends simply on you and how you think your skin will react. The best time to use it is after you wash your face. I usually put mine on right after the shower. So your pores are opened up. This should help with your acne.
What I like about Dual Action Moisturizer
I like the tingly sensation that it gives you. But if you put on your eyes it tingles for longer. I kind of like the way it feels but they suggest that you don’t do it because that skin is delicate.
I like the smell of it. It is a nice pleasant scent. It doesn’t stick with your skin though. The smell goes away shortly after application. But its nice while you are applying it.
It really gives your face a nice clean appearance. Meaning after you have been using for awhile you will not see blemishes that you saw previously.
Where can you buy this moisturizer?
You can purchase it at any chain department store such as Walmart, Target, Kmart, drug stores, some grocery stores carry this line of products.
I got mine at Walmart for about $3.69 for the 4fl oz. They don’t have a bigger size at this time. Mine has lasted right at a month. It could last you even longer if you only used once a day.

Important information
This lotion does have an expiration date at the top of the bottle on the back. Mine says 2004-05 so they take a while but be aware because the Salicylic acid is what expires.
Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, immediately flush with water.
