Pros: Cleans well, and removes dirt and oil, very inexpensive, convenient pump for product dispersion.
Cons: Did NOT deliver most of the claimed results, recommended to use more than necessary!
The Bottom Line: I wouldn't really recommend this product because I couldn't really tell you about any results! But it does clean out dirt and oil!

| fldhockey17's Full Review: Clearasil 3 In 1 Acne Defense Cleanser |
INTRODUCTION:
Well, my skin is pretty good, I just want to keep it that way! Once in a while I'll get a break-out here or there, but not too often. I thought that this 3 in 1 cleanser would do the job as I was shopping in a local Walmart, so I decided to try it out...
THE PRODUCT AND ITS PERFORMANCE:
I've used Clearasil products in the past, and I've liked some of their facial daily cleansers, but I wanted to try something "new and improved" and really try to enhance my skin. So when I went searching in the beauty section for a product that could do this, this 3 in 1 acne defense cleanser by Clearasil seemed to be the thing. The claims on the label are that it: 1) Unclogs pores, 2) Removes dirt and oil, and 3) Protects against new break-outs. Well, I can't really say that it did all of these things! When you wash your face this product, you will notice tiny micro-beads in the gel-like creamy cleanser. If you're like me and you have very sensitive skin, this can irritate the skin at times. The micro-beads are meant to unclog the pores and remove the dirt and oil. I'd say they were probably successful at that, but they were also very successful at irritating sensitive or sunburnt skin! If you sit in the sun during the day and then wash your face with this cleanser, it might sting a little. And no, it has no protected against future break-outs! I really haven't seen ANY great results at all! If anything, I've gotten a few more pimples than I'd gotten before using the product!
DIRECTIONS AND USAGE:
On the back of the pump bottle (which I have to say is very convenient since you don't have to open up a cap or twist off a lid) it is indicated to use this product 2-3 times daily. I don't know about you, but with those micro-beads, I would say that could be a little too frequent to use it 3 times daily. And it may cause overdrying for already dry skin, or sensitive skin. You have to wet your face, and then pump out 2 pumps onto to your palm and procede to massage it into your skin for about 30 seconds or so. 2 pumps is quite a bit! You get about 1 to 1/2 quarters (the 25 cent quarter that is!) in size with one pump, which is all I use. You'll have the stuff dripping off your face if you use more than one pump! Then rinse. I will say however, that my skin felt clean when I was done using it, even it didn't quite deliver the expected results!
COST:
This Clearasil product, although not extremely effective, was one of the cheaper Clearasil products that I have used. Only costing about $4.25 at Walmart, you get 6.78 FL OZ. I'd say that is pretty reasonable for a skin care cleanser, especially compared to other brands like St. Ives or Neutrogena.
BOTTOM LINE AND MY RECOMMENDATION:
Well, since I really didn't see any results, I can't really say that I would recommend this product! I don't know if it was my type of skin or something, but it didn't do its job! If it works for you than I would say it's worth the money, but I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
