| ryanmohare's Full Review: Clearasil Vanishing Cream |
Being a teenager, I get a lot of zits now. I decided to try Clearasil Vanishing Cream to get rid of them. Every day I use the Clearasil Daily Face Wash to thoroughly wash my face (the face wash works great). I would then apply the cream to the affected areas. I did this twice a day; once in the morning before school, and once in the evening, before going to bed.
IT DOESN'T WORK WORTH CRAP!!!
After several months of this constant ordeal of getting rid of my blemishes (and never succeeding) I decided to go to the doctor. My doctor even told me that Clearasil does not work, especially on my face, since I am a teenager and it is caused by hormone surges.
The Explanation
Everyday your skin is supposed to peel at a certain time and a certain way. During your teenage years hormone surges cause your face to peel a different way. The pores become clogged with the dead skin that is not peeling off, giving you blemishes all over your face and anywhere else.
The Solution
My doctor prescribed Benzamycin and my face is now starting to clear up. After two weeks I noticed a great improvement. I apply it once in the morning and once at night.
WARNING!!!
This cream causes your face to be more suceptible to sunburn and UV rays from the sun. Use a 15-spf SPORT GEL to protect yourself from the sun. Make sure it is a sport gel because the lotions tend to clog the skin even more, making the Benzamycin useless.
