In my seemingly never ending quest to find effective cleansers and anti-acne medications to keep my oily, breakout prone skin type under control and as clear as possible, I've tried just about every product out their gears specifically towards this particular skin problem. There are some that do the job quite well and others that are either ineffective or produce so many negative side effects that they aren't worth the trouble and expense involved to purchase and use them. While Clearasil Vanishing Cream is typically marketed to single out the teenage consumer, I continue to receive good results from the occasional use of this topical anti-bacterial medication now that I'm a few years into my thirties. As a staple skin care product for those that suffer from mild to moderate acne, this maximum strength formula easily provides the "big guns" necessary to prevent and treat pimples without having to resort to stronger drugs that are available only with a physician's prescription.

Clearasil Vanishing Cream is a topical anti-bacterial agent designed for the treatment and prevention of acne by penetrating pores and reducing the severity and frequency of breakouts. Containing the strongest concentration of acne medication that may be purchased without a prescription (10% benzoyl peroxide), this popular maximum strength formula helps to clear up pimples fast while absorbing excess oil and while preventing new breakouts from occurring in the future. With its naturally drying properties, this classic topical cream attacks those unsightly blemishes that many teens and adults alike with oily skin are stricken with on an almost daily basis. The effective acne fighters found inside each tube of Clearasil Vanishing Cream decrease the presence of pimple causing bacteria, resulting in that clearer complexion those with mild to moderate acne are in search of. Since I rarely use this product for daily use, the appearance of this cream on my skin matters little since it will be in place overnight only.

For best results, apply Clearasil Vanishing Cream up to 3 times daily after washing your face. Cleanse the skin thoroughly before application of this product and then cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Apply before using any moisturizer or make-up. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily then gradually increase to two or three times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If irritation occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. Continue using daily to help prevent new pimples from forming. Finding the best treatment regimen to meet each persons individualized acne care needs can sometimes be quite a challenge, for using too much of Clearasil Vanishing Cream too often can easily result in dry, irritated skin, while not using it often enough will render it virtually ineffective. As we age, the tendency to have oily skin gradually decreases, so teens may need more of this product than adults do.

Using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. Teens and adults alike should give Clearasil Vanishing Cream with its maximum strength acne control formula a try if oily skin prone to breakouts is a concern. While this product can be quite irritating and drying if used too often or on those with sensitive skin types, this topical acne medication most certainly does a good job in helping to control oily skin and the breakouts that often goes along with it. Used sparingly a few times a week and as needed for spot treatments, I have used this skin care product off and on now for many years for I always come back to it after trying other things. And to save a few bucks here and there, I occasionally pick up a tube of the generic Wal-Mart Equate brand containing a similar 10% benzoyl peroxide formula and receive the same positive results. So pick up a tube of Clearasil Vanishing Cream today and say goodbye to many of those unsightly blemishes that many adults and teens alike are stricken with on an almost daily basis.
