~*~It Really Is Clear & Blue~*~

The Clear Blue Easy Pregnancy Test comes in a dark blue box with the Clear Blue logo in white. The tests themselves are a slightly off white color. The pregnancy tests have an absorbent tip with a cap. The other end of the test has a small thumb grip to make it easier to hold when using. The tests are sealed in foil packets. Each package of tests come with instructions on how the test is performed. The instructions come in both English and Spanish. The instructions also contain commonly asked questions and their answers.

The Clear Blue Easy Pregnancy Test is performed by holding the absorbent end of the test in the urine stream for five seconds. If you prefer, you can also collect the urine in a cup and simply dip the absorbent end in the specimen. This test can be used as early as the first day of a missed period. This test measures 50 MIU of the pregnancy hormone HCG. This of course means that if you're desiring a positive result earlier in your cycle, this test might not be the best choice. However, if testing the first day of a missed period, it will most certainly provide you with accurate results.

The Clear Blue Easy Pregnancy Test provides results in as early as one minute. However, it is best to wait three minutes, since if taken too early, a small amount of HCG may be harder to detect. When the test is first performed, a light blue color will move across the result windows. There are two windows, a circle and a square. The circle is the control window while the square is the actual result window. A blue line will appear in the control window to let you know that the test is functioning properly.

If a blue line appears in the square window, then the test is positive, meaning that it has detected the pregnancy hormone HCG. Even if the line in the square window is lighter than the control line, it still means it is positive! If no line appears in the square window then the test is negative. If no line appears in the control window, the test is invalid and another should be used.

I received a light positive, but, my positive took a little longer to appear since I had very little HCG in my system. The positive line was light, but definitely there. I actually prefer the blue line that these tests use in comparison with those tests that use a pink line. It's easier to see when the positive is very light! Clear Blue Easy Pregnancy Tests are one of the few tests that I have found that do not have evaporation lines.
