You've NEVER HEARD of this book, but you should!!

Pros:This book will save your grade in microbiology!
Cons:None.
The Bottom Line: This is a book that can help almost anyone learn microbiology.

If you are reading this review, I would wager that you have never heard of the book, Clinical Microbiology made ridiculously simple. If you ever study Microbiology, you will want to know about this book.

This book is part of a series on medical school topics that are all broken down, "ridiculously simple." I used a couple of them when I was in medical school.

The Microbiology book saved me in my class! Microbiology is a science that requires a lot of memorization and a lot of long words.

What exactly are Staphylococcus epidermidis and Neisseria meningiditis anyway? This book will tell you.
Are they Gram positive or Gram negative? This book will tell you.
What diseases do they cause? This book will tell you.
What drugs do you treat them with? This book will tell you.

Do you detect a trend here?

The book breaks the subjects into Bacteria, Fungi, Viruses, and Parasites. There are a total of 31 chapters and 268 pages including the index.

The authors use a variety of mnemonics, cartoons, graphs, and tables to make it easy to remember all you need to know. Each chapter has a one or two page chart summarizing the contents of the chapter. These were great for studying for finals. I remember sitting through my microbiology exams and remembering the cartoons from this book. Even today, this book stays on my bookshelf in case I have a question.

If you plan on taking microbiology (in medical school or not) or you just want to learn more about germs, you should read this book.

Thanks for reading my review. I hope to cover some more medical resources in the future.
