| rebeckim's Full Review: Clinique Anti-Acne Control Formula |
It was my acne problems that led me to the Clinique counter at Dayton's in the first place, and after purchasing their 3-Step system as well as a good foundation, I realized that I needed a concealer because my chin looks like a war zone. The consultant immediately suggested their Acne Solutions Concealing Cream, which contains salicylic acid, a common ingredient in anti-acne products. There is a limited range of colors, shades 01 (lightest), 02 and 03 (dark) are basically designed to be worn under foundation.
I found through trial and error that a small amount of the product will cover a fairly large area. The key in my experience is to concentrate on one area at a time, and blend the concealer around the blemish before it sets. In my experience, the concealer dries quickly and wherever it is, it will stay (this gives it excellent staying power under foundation).
My acne problem has steadily decreased, though I do suffer from the occasional rouge-zit breakout. I think that the concealer gives good daytime control and camouflages blemishes well.
