Pros: Fragrance free; somewhat easy to apply; claims to firm and lift.
Cons: Too thick/hard to apply; saw no firming; does not absorb well into skin; irritates eyes.
Always on the lookout for new and improved skin care products for the delicate area prone to wrinkles and dryness around my eyes, I purchased this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream a few months back. For I already used and loved their All About Eyes gel type moisturizer and just assumed I'd like this version as well. Especially since this one is a bit more expensive in price and might potentially be a better choice after reading this product's impressive claims. And they both come packaged in a similar round jar with the same silver screw-on lid, so how different could they be? Very different, apparently! For while the rest of my face is mostly wrinkle free and most people say I look much younger than my real age, I know one of the first places that will eventually reveal the truth is my eye area. So using effective eye care products is the key to keeping my youthful secrets just that a bit longer. Read on to find out more about how paying more money sure doesn't always superior or even equal results.
~~~The Eye Cream~~~
According to product advertising, this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream is a densely hydrating cream that lifts, firms around the eyes. Helps erase the look of lines. Builds cushion into time-thinned skin. Brightens eye area. International and U.S. Patents Pending. It's mostly fragrance free and appears to be highly concentrated so a little bit can go a long way. The eye cream is an off-white to beige in color and looks quite promising in the jar. And to read the impressive list of ingredients including things like Shea Butter and the popular Green Tea, I was excited to try this eye cream out. But that's as far as it goes. For anything that claims to not only defy gravity but to firm as well is alot to live up to, and this product just doesn't. So after several weeks of use while hoping expected and noticeable results would finally appear, I've finally come to the realization that I've been had with this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream and will certainly move on to something else next time.
~~~Packaging, Price, & Availability~~~
Since most major mall department stores feature a widely popular Clinique counter, beauty shoppers can easily purchase a small .5 ounce jar of this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream in person for a rather expensive $31.00. Or go online to places like clinique.com or gloss.com just to name a few. This is certainly a case where obtaining a sample first would have saved me a few precious Beauty care bucks, especially when the budget gets tight. For I've easily used less costly drugstore versions in the past that work just as well or even better. The tiny round jar actually looks like glass but is instead made of hard plastic materials. Featuring Clinique's trademark silver lid and logo, this eye cream comes packaged inside a small green box with the rather long list of ingredients printed on the side. Apply this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream by following the directions for use: Use morning and night after 3-Step Skin Care System. Using the ring finger, pat on sparingly from just under eyes going up to brow bone and crease; blend gently. Mornings: Follow with Super City Block Oil-Free Daily Face Protector SPF 25. All it takes is a small amount of this rather thick and concentrated cream to cover the delicate eye area although I find it a bit difficult to retrieve the correct amount without getting either too much or too little from the open jar. Make sure fingers are clean to prevent contamination of the rest of the product left inside. Once gently smoothed into place, this eye cream feels like it's just sitting on top of the skin verses actually absorbing so it can do it's job. And shortly after applying, my eyes often burn and water. A quick glance at the rather long list of ingredients listed below makes it highly likely for a person to be sensitive to at least one of them. And finally, once the time comes to apply foundation, this very thick eye cream seems to just peel away instead of staying put. So for a number of obvious reasons and not just one, I will not be repurchasing this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream in the future.

Because this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream not only irritates my eyes but also doesn't absorb well into my skin, I just cannot recommend it for discriminating shoppers looking for the best deal to purchase. For the price, I expected much more and got way less than promised according to the product claims. Perhaps I chose the wrong eye moisturizer to begin with for my skin type as it truly needs little firming at the moment and sagging bags aren't a problem just yet. But I sure would like for any eye cream or gel I use to prevent both while moisturizing with youthful ingredients. And while this choice very well may do so as far as prevention goes as this is obviously a hard result to measure, I just can't keep using something that irritates my eyes on a regular basis. So in conclusion, I give this Clinique Anti-Gravity Firming Eye Lift Cream just two stars as I saw no promised results and have been quite disappointed in how it wears under my make-up. With so many other better eye moisturizers out there, leave this one alone. Good luck and happy Beauty product shopping :-)
