It's a nice pretty scent-free gloss, but pricy

Pros:it does what it's supposed to - provide some shine, keeps my lips moist
Cons:My $5 gloss, even the $1 product seem to work equally well
The Bottom Line: Clinique's main attraction is a reputation for quality scent-free make-up. If that's important, buy this. If that doesn't matter, you probably can find something you like as much for less.
Ive used Clinique products for as long as Ive worn make-up. I blush to admit that many of my lipsticks and eye shadows come from Clinique bonus programs, where a few times a year, theyll offer a bunch of nice products in a nice bag if you spend some money on something. Or two somethings since the amount you must spend is usually jus a wee tad more than one item. So be it. Its still a neat way to discover new products and the little eye shadows are great for travel.

Last time I bought anything at the Clinique counter, I bought some wonderful skin renewer (spending way more than I normally would for skin lotion, but Id loved the sample) and a tube of their Colour Surge impossibly Glossy lip stuff. Lip gloss. Lip balm. The tube doesnt actually call it anything but Colour Surge Impossibly Glossy ummmmm
that is, theres no noun at the end! But you know what it is. A liquidy product that combines translucent color and shine and some protection and some gloss for dry lips.
It works fairly well. Its not too greasy a lot of these products can feel really unpleasant. This one, number 112 (sure thing, whatever that means!) has a nice shiny coral color to it and it stays on well, though the color seems very very light. Clinique uses the slant tip application, not a brush and it comes out of the tube fairly easily. Its a small item, fits easily in pocket or purse, and you can see how much is left (too many manufacturers dont give us transparent tubes.)
I cant honestly say that its worth the price. I also use far less expensive products from brands ranging from as Cover Girl (which admittedly has scent, something you trust Clinique not to have, and even some scented brush-on lip glosses from E.L.F (also scented, this time with mint). And from the $1 product to the $17, they all seem to do the same thing and I cannot discern a quality difference.
So is it worth $17? It doesnt seem to be that much better than another similar item, but those of us who really cant wear scented items might find it well worth it. I probably wont buy it again since theres not enough difference between this higher priced item and the cheaper ones Ive tried. Its a pretty color but so are the other ones I use. But next time I go to the Clinique counter for the new bonus items, Ill probably buy other Clinique items, ones where being scent-free really matters to me.
