jo.com's Full Review: Clinique Deep Comfort Body Moisture
In a review not too long ago I stated that I rarely buy products in department stores because it is inconvenient for me to go and because I think many similar products can be bought for much less in stores such as CVS.
Recently my husband and I were shopping in Filenes and an announcement came over the loud speaker telling us that with any purchase of $16.50 from Clinique you will get 7 sample products free.
I have always loved Clinique products but I dont faithfully buy them, as I said previously, Im a product hopper. I decided to take advantage of this offer and have bought many Clinique products because of this very offer.
I decided on the Clinique Deep Comfort Body Moisturizer because I was looking for a really good moisturizer. I have Nivea and Vaseline Intensive Care and I like them both but I felt I could use something stronger. My skin isnt extremely dry, but as I get older I find my skin a bit more scaly than I remember it ever being.
I also own Bodycology which isn't tested on animals. This product is.
This 6.7-ounce tube cost $16.50 so I got my free products! This is really nice moisturizer I must say.
It is allergy tested and although it says it is 100% fragrance free there is a slight, pleasant smell most likely from the aloe vera in it.
It is not greasy at all and blends right into the skin immediately. I dont have to rub and rub to see it disappear. On the tube it says it is butter-rich and that is a good description. It does feel like butter, not too thin, not too thick, just right.
It comes with a flip top cap which I like. Silly as it may sound, it is a pretty tube, with a large silver C on the front.
I would highly recommend this product. It feels wonderful and makes my skin feel soft and smooth.
The question is: would I pay $16.50 for another tube when I am done with this one without a promotion? The answer is: I am not sure.
It is a lot of money for a moisturizer and unless there were to be a permanent change in my arms and legs (and from all accounts there is no fountain of youth or magic pill that has been proven to be 100% safe) I probably would go with a less expensive product, perhaps one not tested on animals.
