Best moisturizer out there!
I started using Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion early in 2007. My skin always felt dry and flakey, but whenever I would use a moisturizer to help with this problem (such as a Clean and Clean moisturizer), my face would appear greasy and would break out almost immediately. And I’m not talking little pimples here and there; I’m talking about monster zits that could have their own zip code. And I’m almost 30! Not a good thing.
I first tried out the Moisturizing Lotion when I received a sample of it during Clinique’s Bonus Time. I was very hesitant to try it, because I was sincerely worried about getting breakouts, but the girl at the counter assured me that it was very light and would be perfect for my skin. I took it home, not really expecting a miracle, and opened the bottle. I was surprised at how light the lotion was when I squeezed it out of the bottle and when I rubbed it between my fingers it did not feel greasy or heavy.
Once I applied it to my face, the lotion glided on easily and did not require a lot of rubbing to get it to go into my skin. I noticed that it actually hydrated my skin under my eyes better than any other moisturizer ever had before and it did not make that area shiny or darker. I decided to go ahead and wear it for the day and see how it would hold up.
The entire day was perfectly fine. At no point did my skin appear shiny, greasy, flakey or sticky. I did not need to use any of my oil blotters during the day, a gigantic first for me. And best of all, NO BREAKOUTS! Not a single one! I was sold.
I purchased a 4.2 oz bottle for $19.50 the next weekend and to this day I still use it and haven’t gone through that original bottle. One squirt from the pump is all it takes to moisturize my entire face. I only moisturize in the morning and my face feels great the entire day. The bottle is a small, square, perfect size for my medicine cabinet and I have never had any problems with it spilling or getting all over the lid.
I love this stuff. If you’re hesitant to buy it without trying it, ask your local Clinique counter if you can have a sample to try and they will happily oblige.
