I started using the 3 step system from Clinique a few weeks ago, including the dramatically different moisturizing lotion. Firstly, I want to say;
There are times when you want your face to look glowing and moisturized, and there are times when you want to look matte. DO NOT use this if you want to look matte, unless you're planning to wear powder over it.
That being said, the clinique associate told me to use this lotion in problem areas only due to my combination skin (oily in the chin and nose, dry in my cheeks and sometimes my forehead). I used this product after the clarifying lotion #2, and I must say my skin looks radiant, with little break outs. Wearing this under my foundation gave me a dewy glow, and my face is superbly moisturized. Usually though, I use it as a night cream since I use Clinique's superdefense with SPF during the day. I wake up with plump, moisturized skin, and have yet to battle with breakouts r/t this moisturizer.
The consistency of the product is very lightweight, but once you put it in your hand you'll find it has more substance to it and will generally hold its form. A small pea-sized amount on my cheeks and forehead does the trick (I apply little to none to my nose/chin area). It has no noticeable smell, and it is yellow in color.
It lasts, it causes no reaction, has no fragrance, and leaves my face dewey and soft. I'm not sure if I will buy this product (what I used was a sample) because of the price ($24), but it works and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants moisture sans SPF and breakouts and doesn't mind the price!
