Club Glove is known for their travel bags, being the choice of a majority of PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tour players. As a PGA Professional, I tend to travel with my clubs whenever I get to go on a vacation, so a travel bag is a key component to my luggage. I know that I can pack my bag and leave it in the "capable hands" of the airport crew without risking any damage to my clubs.
The Last Bag is constructed of ballistic nylon that is guaranteed not to rip, pull, or split. There is a sturdy plastic L shaped piece on the back of the bag that curves to the bottom and will allow you to take the bag up or down a curb without damaging the nylon portion. The heavy duty handle at the top allows you to use the in-line skate wheels to easily pull the bag behind you or push it in front of you. The large compartment is padded with extra cushioning at the top section where your club heads are. An internal strap allows you to secure the bag in place so that you will not have to worry about it rotating or shifting once in the bag. The overall storage compartment is large enough to fit my staff bag, so it is pretty much assured of fitting any bag that you have. There are also two side pockets that are large enough to accommodate a pair of shoes and any other supplies that you may need to bring with you. The three strap external closure system ensures that your clubs are secure, the double strength zippers will not go off the track. A good move is to put the two zippers together under the clasp for one of the straps so that they won't open since airline security does not like locked bags.
I have logged nearly twenty flights with the Last Bag, and it has some minor scratches in the plastic, but no other visible signs of wear. The wheels make it easy to maneuver and ease in getting through the airport. No matter what bag that you have, it is a good idea to use iron protectors or wrap the heads in towels to make sure that they don't rattle together during travel. It is a great way to get some extra luggage space on the way home, use dirty laundry to pad the heads and you will have more space in your suitcase for souvenirs. While a smaller carry bag will fit in the Last Bag, Club Glove offers a smaller version that is just as protective, the Burst Proof that will better accommodate a carry bag, see my upcoming review on that for more detail.
Club Glove offers a limited lifetime warranty on all of their products, an optional 5 year unconditional warranty is available for a small fee. The Last Bag is available in a variety of colors with embroidery available.
