Pros: Sensitive, cool looking, neat features, great buy for the price.
Cons: sets off quite a bit of false alarms, mostly with the X band.

| egonburdick's Full Review: Cobra Electronics ESD 9160 CS Radar Detector |
I didnt compare it to a V-1 or anything, but I used to have a ESD 9100 and it just got stolen about a week ago along with my CD player. I was pretty impressed with the 9100, it saved me many many times, but after it was stolen i decided i had to upgrade, so I bought the 9160 online for about $60.Especially for only $60, I could recommend nothing else. this has really cool features like the digital compass, the smart mute (it automatically mutes the alerts if your RPM's are below a certain point that you preset), and its very sensitive so far even though ive only had it for a few days. It senses K, Ka, X, 4 types of laser, 4 types of alerts (VG-2, Strobe, safety strobe and something else) and its light and not to mention looks really cool. the only thing I've noticed that bothers me about it is that its too sensitive and alot of the time it sets off false alarms, especially with the X band, but with the X band it only beeps once to let you know its there then mutes itself when its on city mode.
