Pros: Effective; no side effects; widely available
Cons: Exact amounts of ingredients are a trade secret; one must hunt for discount prices
For my 100th Epinion, I decided to review a product that really made a positive impact on my life this past year. As a man of a certain age, I know what it's like to be humbled by impotence there, I've said it. Some of you know what it's like, too or you will someday. Fortunately we now have a plethora of remedies that are more reliable & convenient than raw oysters. By reviewing an herbal product I'm not disparaging Viagra or Cialis; many of us owe our lives to pharmaceuticals, and you may go that route if it suits you with my blessings. For me, herbs are invaluable alternatives that have been proven by centuries of use.
Before you start dosing yourself with herbs for sexual performance, it would be wise to examine your particular situation to see if youve overlooked other factors besides simply growing older. The erection is a complex phenomenon, after all. (Note that my opinions here are not meant to substitute for professional medical advice.)
1) Are you in good health and at your proper weight?
2) Are you under a lot of stress?
3) Do you drink heavily or smoke at all?
4) Do you exercise regularly?
5) Do you take all the essential vitamins & minerals, as well as L-Arginine?
6) Are you content with your sexual partner?
Obviously the issues above need to be addressed first. When in doubt, consult your physician, esp. if you take medications. My doctor happens to be an acupuncturist & herbalist (he takes even more supplements than I do). If youre in great shape and suspect your relationship might be the problem, get that sorted out; as you mature, the penis can become remarkably sensitive to unresolved issues. On the physical level, Id try nutritional supplements before herbs; for ex., Ive found L-Arginine to be very helpful (Google to learn how this amino acid contributes to the erection process). If you still need that extra oomph to relive your halcyon pornstar days, read on.
I chose to review Cobra primarily because its easy to find and (until now) relatively inexpensive. The economy size, 120 capsules, retails for up to $33.69 I used to get it for $18.75 at my local vitamin shop. A savvy shopper can find it online for around $20. If you must pay anywhere near retail, you might as well try other brands they tend to share a lot in common, and you might find a formula that works even better for you.
Cobra is a fairly typical combo of herbs for sexual health & performance: Kola Nut, Yohimbe, Oatstraw, Nettles, Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng), Horny Goat Weed (Epimedium), Catuaba, Muira Puama, Korean Ginseng, Damiana, & Saw Palmetto. What you wont find is a breakdown of the exact amounts, though you may assume that the herbs are listed in descending order. For comparison shopping, this proprietary blend secretiveness is less than ideal. By contrast, Irwin Naturals, maker of Advanced Yohimbe-Plus, states the amount of each ingredient in milligrams. This ought to be the industry standard, in my opinion.
The suggested dosage is 2 capsules, once or twice daily; naturally, if you know when your next tryst is likely to occur, you can take Cobra a few hours in advance. Though Id never advise exceeding the regular dosage, Ive done it a few times without ill effect. For long term use, 2-4 per day should be sufficient for most men; consult an herbalist for further information.
Without getting graphic, the salutary effects of Cobra in conjunction with proper nutrition & exercise, etc., are fairly obvious. Its not quite like being a teenager again actually, Im glad that my judgment isnt as clouded by testosterone as it once was! Oh yes, the cock does crow. A good time was had by all. As Austin Powers would say, theres nothing like getting your mojo back.
