We purchased a pair of these two way radios initially for when snowmobiling season hits but since it was August we thought we would try them out around the farm to see what all the hype was about.
One night my husband sat in the house and I took one two way radio with me to the far end of our property, through 50 acres of trees and swamps in the pouring rain and to my surprise my husband sounded like he was sitting beside me on his Atv.
Now when ever we go to town, in shopping centres, when my kids are in the movies or just when the kids are visiting friends or just outside we carry one. This way if anyone has a problem we can reach one another right away.
What really appeals to me is the small size of them and for just having two channels so if the kids switch it by accident I just have to change to one other channel rather than go through all 14 of them. I also like the fact that the antenna folds down because it makes the unit easier to fit into any pocket. I can hardly wait to try out the unit on the snowmobile hills this winter........
