| MamaSaid's Full Review: Colgate Palmolive Palmolive Pure & Clear Ultra Con... |
We all have our household "things" and mine is washing dishes by hand. I do not have a dishwasher by choice because I really despised using one in my former house. Dishes never seem to come out as clean as when you do them manually. Besides, I find it's quicker than scraping, waiting, etc.
I have tried many dish detergents because I also have sensitive skin. After developing Epstein Barr, my skin is even more sensitive. Dish detergents were actually eating away the skin on my hands, leaving raw and painful areas behind.
Gloves are cumbersome and I drop enough dishes to begin with. If I wear gloves, we might as well never use real dishes at all! I discovered Mrs. Meyers dish soap which does not irritate my skin but is rather pricey and hard to find.
For years, my mother swore by Palmolive and I had actually forgotten them after using so many new foams, grease cutters and other overly-advertised products. I remember the commercial with Madge the Manicurist using Palmolive on her clients during a manicure. How could I go wrong?
I decided to try Palmolive Pure and Clear dish detergent. With the season upon us, I chose Spring Fresh scent. The scent is very mild and pleasant. I was completely impressed by the gentle effectiveness of the soap. I had a greasy pot sitting overnight and it cut right through the gunk without irritating the sensitive skin on my hands.
Palmolive Pure and Clear also lathers up nicely to really coat your dishes. The amount of bubbles, fragrance and cleansing power is perfect. I highly recommend Palmolive Pure and Clear. Check out the facts about it:
- free of unnecessary chemicals, heavy fragrances and phosphates; - made with biodegradable cleaning ingredients, non-irritating dyes and a unique hypoallergenic formula; - available in two scents - Spring Fresh and Sparkling Fresh; - packaged in a sleek 20 oz. bottle made of 25 to 75 percent post-consumer recycled plastic; - available at major grocery stores, Walmart and Target; - suggested retail price $2.79 (half of what I was paying for Mrs. Meyers, I'm sold); - launched August, 2008; - made in America; - certified Kosher.
